The Starbucks Reusable Cup...who knew?

While visiting in Seattle last week, my friend Tina had a plastic Starbucks cup on her coffee table. Nothing unusual about that, until I picked it up and realized that is cup was much more than meets the eye. The cup was hard double walled plastic, had a screw on lid and a hard plastic straw.

First thought...I need one of those, right now!!

Tina said she would pick one up for me at the Starbucks in her office building the next morning. Yay!!! But, it didn't happen. She was busy at work and forgot to pick up my precious cup.

That night, Tina and I hit up a few local Starbucks to see if we would buy the cup. Nope, no one had them. When I asked the employee if they had any she replied, "No way...those went like crazy this season. Try online." Yikes...who knew this damn cup would be so hard to find?

Next stop...ask her husband Nick to pick one up for me the next day at work. Of course, it didn't happen. I even sent him a reminder text during the day. It is hard for me to believe that someone might have something a little more important going on during their work day than going to Starbucks to buy me a plastic cup :))

Now I am back in LA, without the precious plastic Starbucks cup. Sad :(

I looked on Amazon and eBay and was amazed to find out that people are selling these cups for up to $80 each. WOW...I had no idea.

Bottom line...I NEED this cup. Please help me...anyone. :))

Viti vs Fiji Water, what a rip off.

Buying bottled water is really a drag, but when you live in Southern California it's really an unavoidable evil. I am definitely a huge fan of Fiji water, not just because of it's clean refreshing taste, but because of the signature square shaped bottle. The bottle fits so nicely in my car's cup holder and is the perfect size to fit in my purse. Fiji water's bottle has become so recognizable, even without the pretty label, I know the brand.

I ran across "Viti" water at a outdoor festival and could not believe these people were ripping off Fiji so blanantly. The bottle is just about the same size and shape and even the graphics are really similar.

A few weeks ago, our office manager accidentally bought Viti water at the grocery store thinking she was purchasing the usual cases of Fiji water for the office. Immediately, I placed the bottles side by side and was amazed by the similarities. I really hope the Fiji water people are all over these imposters and are trying to stop them from ripping off the good Fiji water name.

Please make sure when you are buying Fiji water that you check the label to make sure you are actually buying Fiji...not Viti.
