The Starbucks Reusable Cup...who knew?

While visiting in Seattle last week, my friend Tina had a plastic Starbucks cup on her coffee table. Nothing unusual about that, until I picked it up and realized that is cup was much more than meets the eye. The cup was hard double walled plastic, had a screw on lid and a hard plastic straw.

First thought...I need one of those, right now!!

Tina said she would pick one up for me at the Starbucks in her office building the next morning. Yay!!! But, it didn't happen. She was busy at work and forgot to pick up my precious cup.

That night, Tina and I hit up a few local Starbucks to see if we would buy the cup. Nope, no one had them. When I asked the employee if they had any she replied, "No way...those went like crazy this season. Try online." Yikes...who knew this damn cup would be so hard to find?

Next stop...ask her husband Nick to pick one up for me the next day at work. Of course, it didn't happen. I even sent him a reminder text during the day. It is hard for me to believe that someone might have something a little more important going on during their work day than going to Starbucks to buy me a plastic cup :))

Now I am back in LA, without the precious plastic Starbucks cup. Sad :(

I looked on Amazon and eBay and was amazed to find out that people are selling these cups for up to $80 each. WOW...I had no idea.

Bottom line...I NEED this cup. Please help me...anyone. :))

Viti vs Fiji Water, what a rip off.

Buying bottled water is really a drag, but when you live in Southern California it's really an unavoidable evil. I am definitely a huge fan of Fiji water, not just because of it's clean refreshing taste, but because of the signature square shaped bottle. The bottle fits so nicely in my car's cup holder and is the perfect size to fit in my purse. Fiji water's bottle has become so recognizable, even without the pretty label, I know the brand.

I ran across "Viti" water at a outdoor festival and could not believe these people were ripping off Fiji so blanantly. The bottle is just about the same size and shape and even the graphics are really similar.

A few weeks ago, our office manager accidentally bought Viti water at the grocery store thinking she was purchasing the usual cases of Fiji water for the office. Immediately, I placed the bottles side by side and was amazed by the similarities. I really hope the Fiji water people are all over these imposters and are trying to stop them from ripping off the good Fiji water name.

Please make sure when you are buying Fiji water that you check the label to make sure you are actually buying Fiji...not Viti.

It's only 12,600 calories....

Why spend your time eating 1400 regular gummy bears when you can chow down on one 5 pound gummy bear?

My awesome husband tempted me with this yummy gummy friend last week. How can you show me something so cool, and not buy it for me?? I guess he is trying to spare me the extra unneeded 12,600 calories around the holiday season. Thanks husband!

If anyone out in the internet world wants to buy me this terrible treat...feel free :)

Not worth trying...Redline 7 Hour Energy Rush

Two weeks ago, I was at the National Association of Convenience Stores trade show in Vegas and I picked up samples of every energy drink imaginable. From energy you drink, inhale and eat, I have some of it all.

I just drank 1/2 of a Redline Power Rush in grape and I wish I didn't. I feel like crap!!! My hands are trembling and my heart is racing. I even tried eating something to make this feeling stop, but it won't.

In the future, I am going to just stick to my usual sugar free Red Bull.

All I want for Christmas...

After living in our loft for over a year with boring, bare, white walls, we finally took the plunge and had it painted to add some color. Most of the place is painted a nice neutral "latte" color, but husband wanted the two front rooms painted green as well one of the bathrooms painted red. I was on board for the red bathroom, but green happens to be one of my least favorite colors. After 10 pints of sample colors, we finally agreed on a light(ish) sage green color.

It has been three years since the rooms have been painted green and I still can't decide how to decorate "my room" (one of the two rooms is husband's office/studio and the other is mine). I tried adding bookshelves, lights and pictures on the walls, but the room doesn't have the light bright feeling that I wanted.

Last week, I ran across a Pottery Barn Teen catalog and saw these little colorful decals. I haven't ordered them yet (maybe Santa will bring them to me:)), but I think these are the colorful details that will make "my room" have the right feel. I have been newly obsessed with polka dots, but don't want to commit to painting them on my walls. Removable decals sound like the perfect solution.

Coolest drink I have seen in a long time!!

I randomly ran across this beverage a few months ago at a gas station and fell in love. Unfortunately, I could not find it again at any store...until now.

The cool thing about this drink is that the flavor is in the cap. You can drink the beverage as just water, then click the cap and all of the sudden you have a lightly flavored, no calorie, no sugar drink. How Fun!!!

$125 bar of soap....What???

So...last night I was setting up for an after party for the movie 2012 at a penthouse loft in downtown Los Angeles. While setting up, I began chatting with a guy who was overseeing the set up. Turns out this guy works for a company that sells "the worlds most expensive bar of soap." Of course, I thought he was full of crap. Who on earth would pay that much for soap??

The guy disappears for awhile then comes back with some products for me. He gave a sample bar of soap, a full bar, a facial mosturizer and a body lotion. AWESOME!!! I tried the mositurizer this morning and I loved it!! It doesn't have a smell and it is the perfect amount of mositure. I would no way spend that much on soap, but it was a fun freebe to try. Plus...the tag line for the company is fun: "Foam… rinse… glow… ®"

What a cool idea...Tea to go with no tea bag mess.

I was browsing through a National Association of Convenience Store Magazine (NACs) and found this great product. Not sure where to find them yet, but I will find out. www.teatogoinc.com

Pop Drops..Tootsie Pops without a stick.

I found these new "Pop Drops" candies at a toy store last night while waiting for a table at a restaurant. All I have to say is "AWESOME." Same great flavor as a tootsie pop, but a much smaller piece and no stick. You have to try them!!

Nuero Bliss Drink...it tastes better than you think.

I recently found a new line of beverages called "Nuero." My favorite flavor is "NueroBliss", a lightly carbonated citrus flavored drink. The drink claims to improve mood and promotes relaxation. I didn't experience any of the claims, but the drink tastes great and the bottle is pretty cool. Check out www.drinkneuro.com for more info.
